Prior experience of working in a school laboratory, making up solutions and preparing lessons to an A Level standard would be highly desirable, but given sufficient scientific knowledge, training could be provided.

There are also opportunities available for CPD, whereby the school can offer sponsorship for a Level 3 Labratory Technician apprenticeship for the successfiul candidate.

Staff with teaching duties will be responsible for the pupils that they teach and may also have additional specific pastoral or other responsibilities for other pupils they do not teach.
