Teacher of Classics – Bablake School Permanent / Full-time
Required for September 2023
Bablake is a vibrant school supported by a diverse and enthusiastic community of staff, pupils, parents and alumni.
The successful candidate will have outstanding subject knowledge and will be able to engage and inspire pupils across the ability range to convey an enthusiasm for the ancient world and develop a love of Classics.
You will have the expertise and insight to stretch and challenge the most able pupils, especially those who plan to study Classics and related courses at top universities, including Oxbridge. The successful candidate will be required to teach Latin and Classical Civilisation up to A level. The ability to teach Greek to GCSE is an advantage.
Exceptional organisational skills and pedagogical knowledge will be required to follow schemes of work, deliver impactful lessons and to work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and throughout the School. You must also be willing to contribute to the department’s extra-curricular provision.
