The Governing Body and Headmaster of The King’s School Worcester are seeking to appoint an experienced Compliance Manager and Clerk to the Governors to join our dynamic and thriving family of schools. This is a new position which combines two important areas of compliance, increasing both the responsibility and variety of the role.

Compliance

This aspect of the role will focus on advising on data protection and GDPR. The postholder will, in conjunction with the Director of Operations, ensure that all Foundation policies, procedures and practices are regularly updated to maintain compliance. Key areas of responsibility will include the administration and implementation of GDPR, licensing and copyright regulations and the management of Subject Access Requests and Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme assessments.

Clerk to Governors

The postholder will also be responsible for ensuring the Governors are able to operate effectively and to ensure the quality and efficiency of governance within legal frameworks. Working closely with the Governing Body providing professional support and advice, carrying out a range of administrative responsibilities including collation of governor papers and minute taking, the successful candidate will attend all Governing Body meetings including sub-committees and be the first point of contact for all matters relating to the governance of the School.

Candidates must have proven experience preferably within the education sector. Strong organisational, communication and relationship building skills are essential. The role is full time, year round, however there may be room for some flexibility in this area.
