Bolton School Catering Department is looking for an enthusiastic Banqueting Chef to join our team working 30 hours per week, annually on a permanent basis.

The Catering Department is looking for an enthusiastic Banqueting Chef to join our team working 30 hours per week, annually on a permanent basis. This role plays a crucial part in delivering outstanding Catering and Hospitality for our Weddings and Events.

The main priorities are to provide great customer service, oversee a small and committed team whilst motivating them to drive improvement and build on your own skills. It is essential that the successful person must be able to think on their feet and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail while maintaining high standards at all times. The successful person must also be able to manage their time proactively with, of course, the support of a very experienced management team.

Our high standards of Health and Safety, Food Safety and Allergens must be adhered to at all times.

With some 2,400 pupils, Bolton School is a large, thriving, academically selective day school. It is situated a mile or so from the town centre in a stunning 32 acre campus and is within easy reach of some of the nation’s finest cities and countryside.

A large Foundation Services Department supports the School operations and within this there is a trading arm, Bolton School Services Limited (BSSL). This includes BSS Weddings and Events, BSS Leisure Services, Kidzone and Patterdale Hall, a superb Outdoor Pursuits Centre situated at the Southern end of Lake Ullswater. Those who work within the organisation are able to combine the experience and pleasure of educating and being around young people with some of the challenges of a business environment.
