We are seeking to appoint a Transport Co-ordinator to ensure the efficient co-ordination of the School’s transport services, line managing a team of drivers.

Part Time, Term Time + 10 days, required for April 2023

Silcoates is set in 52 acres of grounds in Wrenthorpe, near Wakefield, within easy reach of the M1 and M62, offering an all-through, fully co-educational day school experience for children from 3 to 18.

We are seeking to appoint a Transport Co-ordinator to ensure the efficient co-ordination of the School’s transport services, line managing a team of drivers. You will be responsible for liaising with the School’s operational organiser and act as the School’s first point of contact to ensure to provide a regular, reliable minibus service for our pupils and will need to work well as part of a small and committed team.

Candidates should be reliable and punctual, friendly with good interpersonal skills, and able to relate well to young people, parents and colleagues. You will need a clean driving licence with a D1 category or a relevant MIDAS qualification and should have experience of working in a Transport capacity in a department/environment of a similar nature. Experience in the education sector would be advantageous, although not essential.

The role is part time, Monday to Friday, term time only plus 10 days annually. The normal working hours for this post will be from 13.00pm to 18.00pm, 25 hours a week. There will however, be times when flexibility with regards to working hours will be required.

Salary: £17,500, part time, pro rata, per annum, based on an FTE of £24,501
