Bishop Challoner School, founded in 1950, is in the London Borough of Bromley. It is a Catholic independent day school for girls and boys from 3 to 18 years, welcoming all faiths. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and well-qualified Teacher of Geography.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and innovative teacher. We would like you to be:
Able to uphold and promote the school’s spiritual values and ethos
Support and contribute to the school’s responsibility for the welfare and safeguarding of pupils
To be a Form Tutor
To play a full part in the life of the school community, to support its distinctive mission and ethos and to encourage staff and pupils to follow this example. Ensure the school guidelines have been consulted and followed
Committed to raising academic standards and work towards supporting the school vision and Senior Leadership Team in creating a culture for learning, high standards of achievement and success
Well qualified and an excellent teacher
An excellent communicator
Able to provide excellent Teaching and Learning
Able to use assessment to record, track and report pupil progress
Able to embrace change
Able to motivate and interest pupils
Able to maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance, conduct and positive, courteous relations with pupils, parents and colleagues
Able to engage actively in the performance review process, attend meetings and staff training and be a part of the peer-to-peer support initiative
To promote and develop a positive ethos towards assembly and to assist the SLT with planning and visiting speakers to the school where appropriate
Undertake other reasonable duties related to the job purpose required from time to time
Show commitment to a 3-18 education
Able to develop the curriculum in all Key Stages.
