To support the admissions process from events and the initial enquiry stage to a pupil’s first day at King’s School Rochester, delivering an effective and impressive professional admissions service to all parents and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • To deliver an efficient, professional and warm admissions service to parents, pupils and other key stakeholders, ensuring that the admissions process is smooth and successful.
  • To provide support to the Head of Admissions in ensuring that all enquiries from prospective parents are dealt with in a professional, timely and consistent way that reflects the King’s ethos and to be pro-active in responding to enquiries.
  • Be the first point of contact to all external enquiries, ensuring all applicants receive a positive impression of the school.
  • To ensure that all communication with prospective families reflects the agreed brand of King’s School Rochester and a positive image of the school is presented at all times and that all correspondence is of a consistently high quality.
  • Ensure the admissions process is consistently smooth from initial contact through to when a pupil joins the school. Making sure that offer packs, and then subsequently joining packs, are tailored to families and sent promptly with all paperwork is completed before the pupil joins.
  • Support the Head of Admissions in any Open Events outside of school hours and liaise regularly with all staff to organise admissions events.
  • Meet and greet all families and escort prospective visitors around the school campus.
  • Organise visits, interviews and entry tests for prospective pupils.
  • Collate and acknowledge acceptances for all year groups and update all information required for new starters, providing point of contact for new pupils up to them entering the School.
  • Maintain the Admissions database to ensure new pupil details are entered onto the School’s Management Information System (iSAMS) and required information regarding timetables and options is made available.
  • During periods where the Head of Admissions is travelling or out of the office you will work unsupervised and cover the Admissions process independently.
  • Liaising with families directly as well as their agents, both in the UK and overseas.
  • Communicate with the Bursary Team regarding new pupils or any change in current pupil status ensuring the Fees Team have accurate information for billing.
  • Assist with the administration of scholarship and bursary awards to students, keeping clear and accurate records.
  • Assist in uploading passport, CAS and VISA details for international pupils onto the school database, when necessary.
  • Ensure any leavers are recorded as such on the School’s Management Information System, including reasons for leaving, and inform relevant parties of all leavers.
  • Arranging travel, accommodation and visas for the Head of Admissions and creating a travel schedule for trips.
  • Any other task or activity as reasonably requested by Senior Management.
