Alterations Tailor - The School Shop

Reporting to the Shop Manager, we require an Alterations Tailor to work in our School Shop, to provide a uniform alterations service to pupils and staff at the King’s school, Junior school, and the International College.
20 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
£10.55 per hour + 16.5% holiday pay
Fixed Term 24 April 2023 to 29 September 2023
Based in the beautiful setting of the Precincts of Canterbury Cathedral and St Augustine’s Abbey – a World Heritage Site – The King’s School is one of the oldest and most prestigious Schools in the country with an enviable record of academic excellence and achievement.
Reporting to the Shop Manager, we require an Alterations Tailor to work in our School Shop, to provide a uniform alterations service to pupils and staff at the King’s school, Junior school, and the International College.
You will be required to deal with customer queries regarding alterations and record keeping of any account and cash sales from the alteration service, and you will also support the shop with its day-to-day operations including sales as required.
The King’s School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.
