Abingdon School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible candidate to join our Finance Department as Assistant Management Accountant. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week all year round.

This role will support the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant and the Senior Ledger Clerk and will be responsible for the timely and accurate input of sales, bank and purchase ledger data into the iFinance accounting system and maintaining master data and disbursement entry in the iSams MIS system. Additional tasks will include, analysing overheads and variances and assistance with the preparation of the monthly, termly and annual accounts.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong foundation in maths and/or business who is interested in a career in finance and is keen to expand their knowledge and to learn new skills and systems. This role may include the opportunity to study for an AAT qualification funded by the Foundation if appropriate.

Excellent IT and interpersonal skills with a good understanding of business processes and a willingness to learn are essential.
