We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Sport to join KGS from September 2025.

The Director of Sport will be the figurehead of all sports and physical activity at KGS and be a constant ambassador of its values both within the school and beyond. They will be expected to engage persuasively with students, parents and colleagues, and to promote positive attitudes to sport and exercise throughout the school community. The Director of Sport will also ensure that games are closely integrated within the wider life of the school and will work with the Assistant Head Co-Curricular to achieve this.

The successful candidate will be an inspiring sports professional capable of commanding both respect and affection amongst students, staff and parents. Through genuine leadership it is expected that the Director of Sport will establish an environment where all students will participate enthusiastically and many will excel.

The closing date for applications is 9.00am on Monday, 17th March 2025 with interviews being held on Friday, 21st March 2025.

Prior to interview, an online search will be conducted to identify any past or current incidents or issues that might affect your suitability to work with children and undertake this role. This is in line with guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education. Please note this online search will be carried out only on publicly available information and be limited to issues relating to your suitability to work with children and/or in a school environment. Issues that arise will not automatically be a bar to your employment at this school.
