Our Breakfast Club Supervisor is responsible for the smooth running of our daily Breakfast Club, ensuring girls have a healthy and nutritious breakfast before the school day begins. The successful candidate will need to build relationships quickly, both with staff and pupils, in order to establish a calm and welcoming environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Undertake the daily running of the Breakfast Club, developing and maintaining high standards throughout to ensure the welfare of the girls at all times.
· Maintain a standard of cleanliness and hygiene, before, during and at the end of each session
· Inform the school safeguarding team of any concerns e.g. regarding children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary, to ensure the safety of the children
· To ensure that all children, whilst in the Breakfast Club, have access to appropriate activities
· Provide a healthy breakfast, taking into consideration girls’ dietary requirements, in order to promote healthy eating.
· To ensure the safe delivery of food to those girls with allergens
· To ensure that registration records are well-maintained in order to facilitate fee billing
· Promote good behaviour within the group in line with school policy
Person Specification
· Competency in English and Maths with a GCSE grade C or equivalent
· Basic understanding of food hygiene and health and safety procedures
· Excellent communication, listening and observation skills
· Able to deal with difficult/sensitive situations
· Good organisation and accurate record-keeping skills
