About The Role

The gap students share in the care of the pupils working with the other staff under the auspices of the Head of Boarding.

Apart from daily routine, Boarding Staff have an important role on the pastoral side. The aim of all house staff is to create a happy, friendly and caring community for the pupils to live in.

The gap student is a person the students can look up to for help and advice. They will look out for the general welfare and punctuality of pupils. You need to have the personality that can inspire others in the boarding house and have the creative mind to design new activities for the boarders such as day trips or sports on site. You will be promoting involvement with students in to schedule at weekends, after school and with specific celebrations (birthdays, Chinese New Year, etc...). You will need to help the boarding house feel like a home away from home with the pastoral care of students and create a happy, friendly and homely atmosphere.
