Wells Cathedral School is seeking a well-qualified and experienced musician and teacher to lead this highly successful department, within the setting of a specialist music school, from September 2023. With over 160 pupils studying towards GCSE and A level Music each year, this is a unique opportunity. The appointee will have the scope to review all academic aspects of the Music Department and to contribute to the wider musical, academic and intellectual development of the school as a whole. The successful candidate will manage the development of the curriculum, keeping abreast of current educational developments and maintaining useful schemes of work for all year groups. A degree in Music or a suitable relevant subject at Bachelors level or higher is essential.

A willingness to contribute to the wide co-curricular and community activity of a lively boarding and day school situated in the heart of the West Country is essential.
