St Albans School is renowned for its long and distinguished history. Whilst we celebrate our heritage with pride, we continue to focus on our current and future provision. To this end, our ethos, vision and aims - all under our familiar motto - underpin the School’s commitment to educational excellence, both today and in the future.

The origins of the School date back to the monastic foundation of 948, and today, St Albans School is a day school of just over 900 pupils. Girls have been admitted into the Sixth Form since 1991. Whilst maintaining a high standard of academic achievement, the School aims to foster the development of talent and responsibility, along with the fulfilment of individual potential.

The Head of History will be responsible for the leadership, management and development, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning throughout the department.
