Development and Fundraising Officer
Are you a dynamic and driven fundraising professional looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to join the Royal Hospital School’s Development Office on a part-time basis as our newly created Development and Fundraising Officer.
As the Development and Fundraising Officer, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our fundraising goals. Working closely with the Head of Community and Alumni Relations, you will be responsible for building and managing relationships with donors, securing regular gifts through direct debit/standing order, and developing a robust legacy giving program. This role is integral to maintaining the momentum of our Centennial Bursary Campaign and other key fundraising initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
· Donor Development and Fundraising: Identify, cultivate, and secure both regular and major gifts, while developing strategies to grow our base of legacy donors.
· Donor Stewardship: Ensure our donors feel valued through personalised communication, recognition programs, and well-organised events.
· Data Management and Analysis: Maintain accurate donor records, analyze data to identify trends, and prepare detailed reports on fundraising activities.
· Event Planning and Engagement: Plan and execute donor events, collaborating with various departments to ensure a seamless experience.
· Reporting and Communication: Keep the Head of Community and Alumni Relations informed of progress, prepare reports for leadership, and contribute to donor communications.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven track record in fundraising. You will be diplomatic, discreet, and experienced in handling sensitive matters. With excellent organisational and administrative abilities, you will be able to manage your workload independently, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.
