Senior Finance Officer

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Senior Finance Officer .
Salary Scale: £42,750-£47,60
We are looking for a Senior Finance Officer to support the collection of tuition fees from our parents. This role involves working for two of the top independent schools in the country, as well as our exciting new junior school. The responsibilities include billing parents at one of our schools and performing key reconciliation processes related to the income collected at the other schools.
Background:
Three of the City of London's independent schools have begun operating under a shared services framework for support staff. This initiative aims to streamline processes, share support delivery and create a combined pool of talent working across the three schools, while each school continues to maintain its distinct brand.
Requirements:
We are looking for someone who:
- Thrives on problem-solving and tackling complex challenges.
- Has significant experience in a finance department, preferably within a local authority, school or other public sector setting.
- Demonstrates excellent attention to detail.
- Possesses strong IT and systems skills.
- Shows flexibility, excellent communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Has a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
- Exhibits technical proficiency, with a good understanding of accountancy principles.
- Ideally holds an AAT qualification and / or training for a CCAB qualification.
