Visiting Music Teacher - Organ

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Visiting Music Teacher - Organ.

City of London School is seeking to appoint a well-qualified and inspirational Teacher of Organ, able to take on students from beginner level to post Grade 8 standard. The postholder will ideally have experience in both teaching and performance. The postholder would have the ability to and willingness to advocate for City of London School pupils within the organ community and be able to foster our relationship with the Royal College of Organists and other affiliated schools. City of London School houses a three-manual Walker organ in the Great Hall, along with electronic practice instruments throughout the school. City of London School is proud of its relationships with the City's churches and has access to other outstanding instruments within the City of London.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Visiting Teacher of Organ starting in September 2025. There is currently half a day's teaching with room to expand.

We aspire to attract a staff that matches the social and cultural diversity of the CLS community. We welcome applications from anyone with the relevant skills and abilities, and particularly from those who may not previously have thought of applying to a school such as ours. CLS was named by the Sunday Times as London Independent Secondary School of the Year 2020, and occupies fine, modern buildings near St. Paul's Cathedral overlooking the Thames, opposite the Tate Modern. There are impressive off-site sports facilities in south-east London.
