Streatham & Clapham High School (SCHS) seeks to appoint a dynamic and experienced pastoral leader to play a key strategic leadership role in ensuring an excellent safeguarding culture and outstanding pastoral care for the girls.

We are seeking an expert in pastoral leadership to promote a culture of collaboration and inclusivity that enables every pupil to thrive. The successful candidate will be an outstanding leader and pastoral specialist, passionate about the pupils’ experience, and with an empathetic understanding of the particular challenges facing young women and their wellbeing in the 21st century. As the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), the postholder will manage, motivate and lead the pastoral team and the wider staff to create a happy and secure environment where all pupils can flourish.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and acutely aware of the symbiosis between school life’s pastoral and academic facets. Charismatic and collegiate in style, the new Assistant Head Pastoral, Safeguarding & DSL (AHP) will work closely with the entire community, championing open dialogue.
