Barlborough Hall School

Barlborough Hall School is a Catholic Day school in Derbyshire for boys and girls aged 3 to 11.

The ethos of the school is to provide an education that allows pupils to develop their talents – academically, socially, physically and spiritually. Pupils are encouraged to be aware of their place in the wider world, and our responsibility for each other. Parents choose Barlborough Hall School because of the emphasis on each pupil as an individual. Pupils transfer automatically aged 11 from Barlborough to Mount St Mary's College, the senior school to Barlborough Hall. Both schools are proudly non-academically selective, but achieve superb results with pupils leaving for top universities each year. At Barlborough from Prep (Year 3) pupils are set for main subjects, and this combined with a commitment to small class sizes, ensure that each pupil receives the appropriate attention. At Barlborough Hall School, along with small class sizes and setting for main subjects, we organise learning outside of the classroom with trips and outings linked to the curriculum. Barlborough has superb teaching facilities, including a purpose-built science lab, technology lab and swimming pool. Barlborough Hall School places great importance on extra-curricular activities and the school enjoys a strong reputation for music, drama and sport. There is a fleet of buses to help local parents out with the school run.
