Northampton High School
Northampton High School is an independent day school for girls aged 2-18 years. The school was founded in 1878 and became part of the Girls Day School Trust in June 2007. From Nursery to the Sixth Form, outstanding success is achieved through a broad and challenging curriculum, with exciting lessons which take learning to a high level, combined with attention to each girl's individual progress.
We believe in our girls, and they believe in themselves
This is the key to the success of girls at the High School and the essential ingredient that makes the education we offer here unlike that offered anywhere else.
Gaining superb academic qualifications is hugely important – yes, undoubtedly.
Having exciting opportunities to learn new skills, broaden horizons and forge strong friendships along the way matters greatly – equally, yes, of course.
These we take as read.
Beyond these, the confidence to be oneself and to stride out into the world with integrity and self-possession – this is the key to fulfilment as well as success in life. Our belief in our girls, which stems from our knowledge and appreciation of them as individuals, makes all the difference as they learn and grow in pursuit of their dreams.
Choosing the right school for your child is probably the most important decision you will ever make. This website will introduce you to some of the ways that we implement our unique philosophy, but there is no substitute for seeing what we do for yourselves.
So we look forward to welcoming you into school and beginning the conversation about your daughter and what a High School education could mean for her…
