We are looking to appoint a Graduate Sports Assistant to work across our sports programmes, which includes football, hockey, rugby, cricket, netball, athletics and tennis, who will be based at King Henry VIII Senior on a 1-year fixed term contract.

Graduate Sports Assistant – King Henry VIII Senior

Temporary, One Year Appointment - Full Time TTO + 5 days

Monday to Saturday

£16,600

We are looking to appoint a Graduate Sports Assistant to work across our sports programmes, which includes football, hockey, rugby, cricket, netball, athletics and tennis, who will be based at King Henry VIII Senior on a 1-year fixed term contract.

There is flexibility to the working hours to suit the right candidate. There is also the opportunity for a successful GTA to then apply to complete their PGCE with Buckinghamshire University the following year.

The successful candidate will have a PE, Games and sporting background. You will work closely with the PE department assisting the PE department with lessons across several different activities including the major Games and the PE programme. You will be expected to be available when School sport takes place, including Saturday mornings during term-time. Supporting the school’s busy sports programme is essential to a successful candidate.

There will also be opportunities to be involved in school trips and gain experience of the school’s pastoral care.

The successful candidate is likely to be considering a career in PE teaching or sport in general.
