The successful candidate will provide first-line technical support for over 2500 users from across the school. This opportunity is ideal for someone with technical proficiency and problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving troubleshooting, network and server faults, desktop-based systems and printer related issues, quickly to provide efficient and effective user support. Depending on experience there will be the opportunity to work in ICT projects and undertake additional training to develop in this role.

Strong problem solving abilities, excellent customer handling, being comfortable working under your own initiative, excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach to work are key for this role.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

With some 2,500 pupils, Bolton School is a large, thriving, academically selective day school. It is situated a mile or so from the town centre in a stunning 32 acre campus and is within easy reach of some of the nation’s finest cities and countryside.

A large Foundation Services Department supports the School operations and within this there is a trading arm, Bolton School Services Limited (BSSL). This includes BSS Weddings and Events, BSS Leisure Services, Kidzone and Patterdale Hall, a superb Outdoor Pursuits Centre situated at the Southern end of Lake Ullswater.
