Line Manager: Site Manager
Salary: £16,380 per year
Hours of Work: 26.25 hrs per week (2.00pm to 7.15pm Monday to Thursday, 1.15pm to 6.30pm Friday). A degree of flexibility will be required.

Duties:
· Assist the site manager with the management of Health & Safety.
· Assist the site manager with the management of fire prevention, detection and evacuation measures.
· Assist the site manager with the management of onsite traffic movement, especially during pick up times.
· Assist the site manager to ensure that the external areas of the school are clean and safe to use, including removing litter and leaves from school grounds.
· Assist the site manager to ensure the external areas of the school are adequately maintained, and are tidy and presentable at all times.
· Assist the site manager with the management of site security for the site, including CCTV management and key holder responsibility.
· Operate fire and burglar alarm systems.
· Room set up for external hirers as required.
· General maintenance, including painting and decorating; repairs to furniture, fixtures and fittings, including plumbing; installation of minor fittings, bulb replacement etc.
· Liaison and management of onsite contractors.
· Management of external cleaners, under the direction of the site manager.
· Moving furniture and equipment to set up for school events and functions, including assisting the site manager with stage setup and removal twice a year.
· Application of the school policies and legal requirements with particular regard to health and safety, risk assessments etc.
· To be pro-active in approach to ensure that the school operates in a safe and efficient manner.
· Manual handling awareness (training provided).
· Working at height awareness (training provided).
· First Aid Certificate (or willing to be trained).
· Health and Safety certificate (or willing to be trained).

· Basic plumbing, electrical or joinery skills.
Desirable Experience:
· Prior experience of working as a caretaker or similar maintenance role.
· Experience or knowledge of working in a school environment.

· Flexible approach to work with the ability to re-prioritise as demands vary.
· Physical ability to lift, carry, operate equipment etc (necessary training will be provided).
