Thornton College is a leading independent Catholic day and boarding school for girls set within 25 acres of beautiful parkland just outside Buckingham and our our most recent ISI inspection report judged the school to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas.

For September 2024 Thornton College is looking to recruit an organised and knowledgeable Librarian to work in and manage the School Library. She/he will select, acquire, purchase, organise, advise on and promote learning resources in all formats, which support the curriculum and learning and teaching in consultation with school management and other teaching staff. The role includes Prep. and Senior Library lessons as well as supervision and management responsibility for the Educational Visits and Co-curricular programmes at Thornton College.

Thornton College is part of the wider Jesus and Mary Trust, educating young people in 29 countries across the world. There is an ambitious school development plan in place and our most recent ISI inspection report judged the school to be ‘Excellent’ in all areas. The successful candidate can be sure of working with a team of extremely dedicated staff in a very motivating, forward-thinking school environment.

This is a full-time position, between the hours of 8am – 6pm. The position is term time only. Salary commensurate with experience between £17-589.00 – £19,813.00.
