The King’s School Canterbury invites applications for the position of Graduate Teacher of Economics (with Business). This is an exciting two-year training opportunity, designed for recent graduates (undergraduate or postgraduate), or those coming towards the end of their degree, who wish to gain valuable experience in teaching and learning within a high-performing academic environment at one of the leading boarding schools in the United Kingdom. This position offers a unique chance to work closely with experienced teachers, develop pedagogical skills, and contribute to the intellectual and co-curricular life of the school.
While this role is particularly suited to those considering a career in secondary, further, or higher education, it will also appeal to those wishing to explore the broader world of education before pursuing other professional avenues. Graduate Teachers play an integral role in the school community, both in the classroom and beyond, engaging fully in the rich and diverse life of King’s.
Whilst the ability to offer Business Studies may be advantageous, the primary expectation is that the successful candidate will be an expert in Economics. A strong background in Economics is essential, and the inability to offer Business Studies will not necessarily be a disadvantage.
