The post is suitable for a person with a good Classics or Classics-related degree, capable of teaching Latin and Classical Civilisation courses from Year 9 to A level. There is the opportunity also to teach Ancient Greek at various levels up to A level and Oxbridge entrance but this is not essential and candidates without Greek experience are encouraged to apply.

They should offer a strong academic record, energy and a genuine passion for Classics as well as good humour, administrative skill, diligence and initiative.
