We are looking for an experienced Teacher of Computer Science to teach our high achieving students at GCSE and A-level on a full time or part time basis.
We are looking for an experienced Teacher of Computer Science to teach our high achieving students at GCSE and A-level on a full time or part time basis.
You will have an in-depth knowledge of Computer Science and be enthusiastic to share this in a classroom setting with students from the third form (Year 9) through to Upper Sixth. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable teaching a second subject to GCSE or above.
There are currently 120 students studying Computer Science across GCSE and A-level. Students perform well in public exams with around 85% achieving Grade 8 – 9 at GCSE, and 75% achieving A*/A at A-level.
RGS Guildford recently announced its plan to become co-educational; girls will be welcomed into the RGS with a phased entry starting in September 2027. Further details are available on our website and will be sent when you register your interest for this vacancy.
You would be joining a friendly, motivated team who take pride in their pupils’ achievements both in and outside of the classroom at events such as the Bebras Computational Thinking competition, the British Algorithmic Olympiad and the Perse Coding Challenge.
