Sherborne Girls

Sherborne Girls is an independent full-boarding school for girls aged 11 to 18. Founded in 1899, it has been at the forefront of girls’ education in Britain for over 100 years. The school provides a rich environment for the development of well-educated, confident and caring young women who are committed to making significant and positive contributions to the world.

All girls follow a broad, balanced but challenging curriculum for A Level and GCSEs and the school maintains an excellent examination record with girls progressing to a raft of prestigious universities. Our extensive co-curricular offering means that girls learn to balance academic studies with the opportunities which come from participating in everything from music, sport, drama and the numerous community-based initiatives we are involved with.

The latest and most ambitious development project has just finished and we are delighted with our new £11M arts centre which sits at the heart of the campus. To find out more about joining us visit our website.

Sherborne Girls is located in the beautiful county of Dorset, with excellent links to London and beyond. Established in 1899, it embraces a culture of full-boarding, offering individualised care of pupils. As well as achieving outstanding success in examinations, our girls excel in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including sport, music, drama and art. The unique affiliation with Sherborne (Boys) School offers pupils opportunities for co-educational activities, while maintaining all the benefits of a single-sex education.
