King Edward’s School, Bath
Senior School Learning Support Teacher
Permanent, Part time (0.6)
From September 2025
Closing Date: 31 March 2025
Learning Support plays an integral, and well-respected role in supporting the education of pupils at King Edward’s School. The department has continued to build on the significant success, which was highlighted during our recent Independent Schools’ Inspection, with a level of learning support provision which remains highly valued by those pupils who receive it.
We are looking to appoint an inspirational, dynamic, well-organised and caring teacher who will contribute fully to a department, which supports pupils from across all three sections of the School (Pre-Prep, Junior and Senior): from EYFS through to Sixth Form. The successful applicant will be a highly effective teacher who uses a variety of teaching methods and is able to work well as part of a talented, friendly and supportive team.
The post is part time (0.6 of a full allocation) and the successful candidate will hold qualified teacher status. It is highly desirable that they possess a recognised qualification in SEND, SpLD or EAL and have experience in supporting pupils with specific difficulties and English as an additional language, from within the 11 to18 year old age group. The role is likely to be mainly based at our Senior School, offering Learning Support and EAL provision.
The exact nature of the post will be determined by the characteristics of the successful candidate and our desire to enhance further our Learning Support provision across the family of King Edward’s Schools.
