About the Role:

Bedford Girls’ School (BGS) is seeking a passionate and experienced Rowing Coach to join our dynamic Sports Department. We are proud of our strong rowing tradition and are committed to promoting sporting excellence and lifelong fitness for our pupils.

As a Rowing Coach at BGS, you will support the Director of Rowing in delivering a vibrant, inclusive and high-quality rowing programme that aligns with the school’s ethos and strategic vision. Whether you're inspiring beginners or supporting elite performers, your work will help empower young women both on and off the water.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective rowing coaching sessions
  • Support both curricular and extra-curricular rowing activities.
  • Mentor pupils to help them reach their athletic and personal potential
  • Maintain and oversee safe use of equipment and uphold health and safety standards
  • Represent BGS at events and contribute to community engagement efforts
  • Actively participate in fixtures, weekend sessions and school open days
