Responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships between the School and its former pupils and current parents by managing associated events and activities, communications and publications, and the administration of the Development database.

Annual salary circa £30,000, dependent on experience, plus benefits including generous contributory pension scheme and life assurance.

St Albans School is a leading independent day school with an outstanding reputation for academic excellence. The foundation was established in 2008 to raise funds from alumni and parents of the School to increase the provision of means-tested bursaries and to assist the funding of capital projects. Reporting to the Development Director the Alumni Relations and Development Officer is responsible for fostering and maintaining relationships between the School and its former pupils and current parents by managing associated events and activities, communications and publications, and the administration of the Development database.

The ideal candidate will have experience in event management and fundraising, along with proficiency in CRM systems. Strong writing skills are essential, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences. Excellent organisational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management are important as are excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively. Hours are full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, full year. Occasional evening and weekend working is required for School events.
