We are seeking to appoint an inspirational English Teacher to join St. Francis` College. You will join an excellent team and be responsible for teaching English to pupils in years 7 to 13, helping our outstanding pupils to achieve their individual potential and to work as part of a team to help achieve the overall aims of the College.
English is a very popular subject at the College. In the English curriculum we aim to instil the following values: a love of literature, an understanding of self, of other people and of society; an appreciation of the use of language, according to purpose and context and the development of critical capacities and self-confidence. Students at GCSE follow the Pearson course, at A Level pupils follow the Edexcel course.
