The Royal Hospital School is looking to appoint a Security & Operations Porter to join our multi-skilled Security, Portering and Commercial Support Team providing a professional 24/7 operational presence across the School site.

Set in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside overlooking the Stour Estuary and within an hour of London, Royal Hospital School (RHS) is a leading, co-educational boarding and day school providing a full and broad education, fit for the modern world.

The Royal Hospital School has the following vacancy:

Security & Operations Porter

Working under the direction of the Security Manager within the Operations Department, the Security & Operations Porter is part of a team, working on average 37 hrs per week over a four-week 24/7 shift cycle, which can be physically demanding.

Responsibilities include:

• Facilities support for exams, events and other school activities.

• Support of School commercial activity.

• School site security.

• Delivery of mail and other porter duties.

The successful candidate will demonstrate good communication skills, the required level of physical fitness, reliability, flexibility and resourcefulness.
