The Role

The Deputy Headteacher will work closely with the Headteacher to provide strategic and operational leadership across the school, ensuring that:

High academic standards are achieved for all pupils

School life reflects strong values, inclusion, and mutual respect

Pupils’ wellbeing, safeguarding, and personal development remain central

Staff are supported, developed, and empowered to deliver excellence

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Support the Headteacher in the strategic leadership and daily management of the school

Promote outstanding teaching, learning, curriculum innovation, and pupil achievement

Champion an inclusive environment where all pupils thrive regardless of background or need

Lead pastoral systems, behaviour, wellbeing, and safeguarding culture

Inspire and develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and professional growth

Strengthen partnerships with parents, carers, and the wider community

Deputise for the Headteacher when required

The Ideal Candidate Will

We are looking for someone who:

Has successful senior leadership experience (Deputy Head, Assistant Head or equivalent)

Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for every pupil

Shares and supports the ethos and values of an Islamic independent school

Has a proven track record of raising standards and improving outcomes

Communicates with warmth, professionalism, and emotional intelligence

Understands the importance of EDI, SEND support, and pupil wellbeing

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
