An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-qualified and experienced organ teacher to join the school on a part time basis from September 2026. The allocation of teaching is between a half-day and one full day week. The department has three organs: an electric three-manual Allen Renaissance with 62 stops; a Harrison & Harrison two-manual pipe organ; and a brand new Viscount Ensign FV42 practice organ.

The appointed candidate will teach pupils, ranging from complete beginners to those of a high standard, the technique and musicianship required, offering encouragement, support and guidance as necessary. The role includes preparing appropriate pupils for Associated Board (or similar) music exams and preparing appropriate pupils for the practical component of GCSE and A Level examinations. There is also scope for accompanying our chamber choirs at evensongs at external venues: recent evensongs include St. Paul’s Cathedral, St. George’s Windsor, Hampton Court, Winchester Cathedral and Southwark Cathedral.
