We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and inspirational Deputy Head of academics from mid-November 2026 until the return of the current post holder from paternal leave.
Wimbledon Common Prep School (WCPS) is a pre-preparatory school for 175 boys aged 4-7 years. We provide a well-structured education that aims to instil a love of learning in a friendly, welcoming and attractive environment.
A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen at Wimbledon Common Prep School. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and inspirational Deputy Head of academics from mid-November 2026 until the return of the current post holder from paternal leave.
The successful candidate will:
· be a strong, dynamic and inspirational leader, with a track record of or an aspiration to first-rate leadership.
· have a clear vision for a first-rate, modern, research driven and skills-based curriculum.
· be committed to academic excellence and eager to share in the joy of learning inside and outside the classroom.

· be analytical, with experience in utilising data to optimise pupil outcomes.

· possess excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
· be wholly committed to the role and the school.
· be trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.
· have a sense of humour and a sense of compassion.

· be able to admit when mistakes are made and learn from them
