The role will involve the teaching of Drama from Yr2 through to Yr8, including private individual or paired lessons to pupils preparing for LAMDA examinations, and responsibility for the main drama productions throughout the School.
Witham Hall is a happy and dynamic co-educational boarding and day Prep school, set within superb grounds on the Lincolnshire/Rutland border. The pupils in the School are aged from 4 to 13. The School is seeking an energetic and passionate Head of Drama to be responsible for the effective teaching of Drama across the School. A large proportion of this teaching is undertaken through private individual or paired lessons to pupils preparing for LAMDA examinations. In addition, the Head of Drama takes responsibility for the co-ordination, production and management of the main drama productions throughout the School. The enthusiasm and capability to contribute more widely to the day-to-day life of a busy Prep School is also important.
The successful candidate will have proven ability as an excellent teacher and director, highlighted by a strong subject knowledge and proven track record of success within the key responsibilities of the role. With excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for working with children, you will have the ability to really inspire and develop pupils.
