Edgbaston High School for Girls

Founded in 1876, EHS is Birmingham's oldest independent school for girls.

Conveniently located in a leafy suburb of Edgbaston with close access to the city, Edgbaston High School provides a broad, modern and inspiring education. Every girl is valued as an individual and every facet of her abilities and talents is carefully considered and developed.

Our aim is to provide the highest quality of education for girls at every stage of their development.

We are an ambitious, thriving school with a mission to nurture confident, considerate and intellectually curious young women. Our focus is on providing a broad, modern, enriching and inspiring education to ensure that EHS girls have the confidence, independence, motivation and ambition to succeed within and beyond school. Pupils benefit from the security of a happy, dynamic and caring community in which every girl is valued as an individual.

We foster an environment where students can achieve excellent academic results, expand their minds, think flexibly, develop the skills of leadership that they all have within them, and grow as individuals through a broad and progressive curriculum and a rich, stimulating extra curricular programme.

Every member of our staff plays a crucial role in upholding our high academic standards, exceptional pastoral care and vibrant co‑curricular life. We welcome colleagues who share our values and our commitment to helping every girl thrive - whether in teaching, administration, finance, IT, technical support or site support. Together, we create an inspirational, respectful and inclusive environment where our girls can flourish.
