Windermere School is a co-educational day and boarding school in the Lake District National Park for students aged 11 -18 years

At Windermere School we provide a safe and traditional environment for students to grow in confidence, excel academically and fully utilise our surroundings to develop their personalities and discover their strengths. The woodland campus overlooks Lake Windermere and provides a setting of inspiration for both academic achievement and physical adventure. The Senior School has broadly even numbers of boys and girls, and a similar ratio of boarding to day pupils. Nearly a third of our students are international. We seek to equip students for life in a changing world through a rigorous and balanced academic curriculum that makes the most of our unique environment and membership of the Round Square. Delivered by an experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated staff; our programme of study will guide your children through a series of challenges that develop the skills and confidence needed for academic success. We pride ourselves on our use of the stunning landscape and our prime location in England's largest National Park. Our students have the opportunity to experience all that the outdoors can offer, and our qualified staff ensure that the Academic curriculum is matched by our Outdoor Education curriculum.
