Chetham’s School of Music is seeking a Teacher of Mathematics (Maternity Cover) to join the internationally renowned specialist music school located in the city centre of Manchester. Chetham’s is a magical place, home to the UK’s largest specialist music school, the oldest library in the English-speaking world, and a world-class concert venue, all in the heart of Manchester.

The job

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, inspirational teacher of Mathematics. You should be capable of teaching Mathematics to GCSE and A level, with the potential to deliver Further Mathematics to A level. We welcome anyone eager to contribute to the life of the Department and the School, with a willingness to take part in extracurricular activities. The successful candidate will also be a confident and experienced user of ICT.

Start date September 2025 (subject to relevant checks) to late June 2026 (expected).

Full-time, maternity cover.

Salary MPS (up to UPS+3 dependent on experience).
