St Ambrose Preparatory School
St. Ambrose Preparatory School is a Roman Catholic independent day school for boys aged 4-11. Although firmly grounded in Catholic teaching and ethos, the school warmly welcomes children of other denominations and faiths.
The happy, well-ordered environment of this Christian Brothers’ School helps to equip the boys to become caring, responsible young men of the future and is conducive to excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Highly-dedicated, experienced staff, and children in small classes who are keen to learn, produce outstanding results. The overwhelming majority of our Year Six leavers transfer to the area’s top secondary schools, including St. Ambrose College, Manchester Grammar School and Altrincham Grammar School. Our buildings, playing fields and facilities are first class and set in 12 acres of magnificent grounds. The children enjoy a broad, balanced curriculum and the provision for sport and music is excellent. We offer Soccer, Rugby, Swimming, Cricket, Cross-country, Athletics, Tennis and Table Tennis. Teams compete with great success in local and regional events, some of which we host ourselves. We strive to give all our children a secure foundation on which to build a happy and successful future.
