We are looking to appoint an experienced Grounds Person to be part of a small friendly grounds team.
The successful candidate will work closely under the supervision of the Head Groundsman to ensure that all sports surfaces whether turf or artificial and all school facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The role will involve routine preparation and maintenance work on a range of sports surfaces and facilities on site to achieve the highest standard possible for the end user and preparatory and cultivation work needed to maintain safe quality sports surfaces and cutting of all grass areas to the highest standard of visual finish.
Our Grounds team also undertake the cutting of all grass areas ensuring the highest standard of visual finish and to ensure all requirements for the Grounds and Gardens of the school are met in a timely manner and presented to a high quality and ensure that all Health & Safety legislation and Codes of Practise are followed at all times.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Groundsman and hold or be working towards Grounds qualifications having previously worked in a similar environment. Understanding of Health and Safety requirements and safe working practices will be essential.
Set in 150 acres of stunning parkland in rural West Berkshire, Elstree welcomes boys and girls aged 3-13 years. Originally founded in 1848, it moved to its current location in 1939 and opened its Pre-Prep school in 1993. It offers boarding, both flexi and weekly, from Year 4 onwards.
