St Bernard's Preparatory School is an independent Catholic primary school providing outstanding education for children aged 2½ - 11 years. We welcome and embrace children and families of all faith groups building a bridge of love, respect and understanding. St. Bernard's Preparatory School has provided outstanding education to the local community for a number of years.

St. Bernard’s Preparatory School was founded by the Bernardine Sisters in 1945 and is held in their Trusteeship. The school continues to benefit from its traditional links to the monastic ideals and values of the Bernardine Order. Our belief that every child, and adult, is unique and made in the likeness of God, underpins our philosophy of respect and value for all. Our Gospel values, which are shared values with all faith groups, underpin our daily lives. Our philosophy is to enable every child to achieve their full potential in a well-rounded way- academically; creatively; aesthetically and emotionally.
