We are currently seeking to fill the position of Visiting Teacher of Learning Enhancement (Maths) .
Wycombe Abbey is a world-class full-boarding school for girls, located on a beautiful site in the centre of High Wycombe. With its distinctive heritage, magnificent 170-acre campus and impressive resources, the School provides an outstanding education for 650 pupils aged 11-18.
Wycombe Abbey has been at the forefront of girls’ boarding education for the last 125 years. Superb academic outcomes are the School’s hallmark and pupils regularly secure places at the most prestigious universities across the globe. The Learning Enhancement Department helps girls by giving the specific support required to assist with the demands of everyday living and learning, sometimes with focused one-to-one sessions or via drop-in sessions.
The role of the teachers within the Learning Enhancement Department is to help pupils access the curriculum and participate in School and community life. We aim to ensure that every girl is equipped with 21st century skills, ready to take her place in a globalised and rapidly changing world. The Visiting Teacher of Maths will offer lessons to individual girls.
Wycombe Abbey has its own salary scale which compares favourably with other independent schools and is well above that of the maintained sector.
Hours: This is a flexible role, teaching a number of one-to-one 35-minute lesson per week, according to demand.
