Winchester College has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Matron from September 2025. This role is term-time, 30 hours a week, working across several Boarding Houses.
In conjunction with the Housemaster, the Matron is responsible for the pastoral care and well-being of approximately 65 boys aged 13-18. Together, they create a supportive home community, establishing a strong rapport of trust with pupils and colleagues, and work in partnership with others to promote the health and wellbeing of our pupils.
Working in boarding is a demanding but extremely rewarding occupation. This position will suit a practical, well organised person with a friendly disposition and the ability to communicate effectively with young people, and who is able to provide a warm, authoritative and reassuring presence in the boarding house.
