Wednesday 14:00-22:00

While occasional flexibility in shift time may be required to meet the Centre needs, the overall schedule remains stable.

The successful candidate will hold or be willing to work towards the following qualifications:

  • Emergency First Aid at Work.
  • Pool Lifeguarding (STA, NPLQ, RLSS).
  • Pool Plant Operator.
  • Key Responsibilities.

Centre Operations: Support Centre Management in the effective and professional operation of the Sports Centre by overseeing daily functions, including opening and closing procedures, ensuring the facility is secure, and ready for use.

Customer Service: Provide a high standard of customer care and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and Centre users.

Facilities: Maintain a high level of cleanliness, and presentation of all facilities including overseeing and assisting with daily activity changeovers.

Support: Provide support to all Centre staff and departments, including Recreation Assistants, Receptionists, Sports, Fitness, and Swimming.

Lifeguarding: Carry out lifeguard responsibilities in accordance with current qualifications and the Centre’s Normal Operating Procedures (NOP) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP), while actively participating in regular pool training sessions as required.

Pool Plant Operations: Develop a thorough understanding of the pool plant operations and provide support in day-to-day management of the pool. This includes conducting routine water quality tests, backwashing, ensuring all systems are functioning in compliance with health and safety standards.
