We are seeking a Boarding Gap Year Assistant to join the School on a fixed term contract basis from 1 September 2026 to 7 July 2027.
The New Beacon School is a leading day and boarding prep school for boys aged 2-13, with a co-educational nursery, renowned for its commitment to excellence in education, sport and the arts.
We are seeking a Boarding Gap Year Assistant to join the School on a fixed term contract basis from 1 September 2026 to 7 July 2027.
The School provides a structured and supportive boarding environment within extensive woodland grounds and excellent facilities, forming an important part of its wider community.
Working closely with the Houseparent, the successful candidate will support the daily routines of the Boarding House, including morning and evening supervision, mealtimes, prep sessions and evening activities.
Additional responsibilities will include assisting with trips, sports fixtures and departmental activities, as well as general organisational and housekeeping duties essential to maintaining a safe boarding environment.
The successful candidate will be educated to A‑level or equivalent and have experience with working with younger children or in a leadership role in a school. Experience in sport, creative subjects or boarding life would be advantageous. They will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
