Sibford School

Established in 1842 as a co-educational boarding school for the children of Quaker families, Sibford School is set in 50 acres of grounds and is surrounded by glorious Oxfordshire countryside. Today the school accommodates both day pupils and boards, of all faiths and none, and is currently home to around 420 young people between the ages of 3 and 18.

Sibford School has, from the outset, been a centre of educational excellence. Over the years the school has undergone many changes and developments as it has adapted to meet the needs and aspirations of its pupils. However, there is one factor that has remained constant in the life of the school, our Quaker values.

Children can join Sibford School at any stage in their education experience, right from the very start, as reception class pupils, through to sixth form students. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum, which reflects our view that while some may have a talent for mathematics, science or history, others may be gifted in the arts, horticulture or sport. Sibford is an academically strong school.

We achieve excellent results at GCSE, AS and A Level and aim to cultivate a thirst for life-long learning. But we don't just want our pupils to succeed academically; we are also passionate about their long-term mental health and emotional well-being. At junior level, this means giving them space and time to enjoy their childhood. And, as they get older, it means helping them to become rounded, community minded, confident and respectful young people, ready and able to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
