One-year fixed term contract
This is an exciting opportunity for a recent university graduate who is interested in developing a career in teaching. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, assisting and leading with teaching in the Sports Department and in academic lessons, and support in other areas of school, as required.
We are recruiting for one vacancy, initially on a one-year fixed term contract. Subject to successful completion of probation in the first year and if we have an appropriate vacancy into the future, there may be an opportunity for this to be extended. We may also be open to discussions about supporting you through a teaching qualification in a second year at St Hugh’s.
At St Hugh's we aim to give all our children academic and pastoral excellence in a friendly environment in which each child can discover what they are good at and, therefore, thrive and gain confidence in themselves.
St Hugh's is a highly regarded coeducational day and boarding school with 350 pupils between the ages of 3 and 13. We are situated on a beautiful green campus of 40 acres in the South Oxfordshire countryside, only 25 minutes from Central Oxford. In June 2025, the Headmaster and Governors announced that St Hugh’s would be opening a Senior School in September 2026. It is a very exciting time to be working at St Hugh’s.
