Assistant Director of Sport (Co-Education) and Head of Netball

The Assistant Director of Sport will play an integral role in the transition to co-education by creating a sports programme that enables all pupils to establish a lifelong passion for sports and physical activity.
The Assistant Director of Sport will play an integral role in the transition to co-education by creating a sports programme that enables all pupils to establish a lifelong passion for sports and physical activity.
You will assist the Whole School Director of Sport to develop and implement a clear vision, strategy and development plan to optimise the quality of sports provision at RGS Prep and RGS Senior.
As Head of Netball, you will be responsible for the overall administration of netball within the Senior School and for the development of a progressive and cohesive coaching structure.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Take responsibility for the establishment and initial development of the School’s netball programme.
- Coach netball to an appropriate standard to all age groups, including the 1st VII, and attend practices and fixtures, during evenings and weekends as required.
- Monitor and evaluate the delivery of particular sports and the quality of coaching across both RGS Prep and RGS Senior.
- Support the day to day operational delivery of the sports programme at RGS Prep and RGS Senior.
- Ensure equity in the profile, provision and operations in girls’ and co-educational sports.
- Contribute to the planning and management of relevant budgets.
- Co-ordinate school teams for girls in local, regional, and national competitions.
